With over 16 years of experience, Dan Ciobanu gained the market’s recognition as a leading lawyer in Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as in Corporate & Commercial matters in a variety of sectors. His other main specialization is in Energy & Renewables, where he has successfully led an impressive number of deals as well as regulatory and licensing projects for top multinational corporations and leading domestic clients. Dan also gathered a wealth of experience in Real Estate & Construction matters, where he advised clients on the whole range of due diligence and permitting issues, including land zoning and planning. A multinational utility active in the electricity supply and distribution sector in connection with the merger of its operations and subsidiaries as part of a plan to boost value creation and economies of scale.


EXIMPROD Group with respect to the sale of several companies active in the renewable electricity production sector, in a project totaling 400 MW.


A top Maltese group in relation to the acquisition of a business centre located in northern Bucharest, having as tenant the largest private hospital in Romania.


One of the top electrical services and engineering players in the negotiation and execution of a comprehensive FIDIC type Construction Agreement for the development and construction of the grid connection of the Studina PV Plant.


A FMCG and cosmetics distributor in Central and Eastern Europe, in relation to the buyout of the minority stake in its Romanian subsidiary.


A global diversified holding business in the context of its market entry into Romania as an EPC contractor on the renewable energy market and storage facilities in Romania.
