Radu is a highly passionate and brilliant lawyer, having been involved in a number of high-stake advisory and litigation cases in the energy, banking, technology and telecom sectors, with a particular focus on competition & antitrust, regulatory and commercial matters. 

He is part of the team assisting and representing companies in a broad spectrum of legal issues in connection with merges & acquisitions, energy & natural resources projects and litigation & arbitration work.

Radu has gained signification experience in representing major foreign investors in international arbitration proceedings before the ICC International Court of Arbitration and acted in complex dispute resolution proceedings concerning investments, commercial agreements and regulatory matters in the energy sector, construction & infrastructure but also major transportation and industrial manufacturing projects.

Selected relevant experience

Representing a major energy utility in connection with a claim before the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in relation to undue process before national courts and material damages recovery as a result thereof.

Representing several leading electricity & gas suppliers in a series of litigations involving the price capping & compensation mechanisms applied by the authorities in the context of the energy crisis.

Representing a leading car manufacturer in dozens of claims related to producer’s liability and in a major dispute with the Consumer Protection Authority 

Representing a leading player in infrastructure & industrial construction industry in major litigation cases stemming out of sub-contracting agreements.

Representing a major concession holder in the oil & gas industry in several multi-million claims related to IT and Technology contracts.

Representing a leading producer in the pharmaceutical industry in relation to claw-back tax recovery.

Representing the Credit Bureau in relation to an investigation by the Competition Council in the banking sector.

Representing a multinational group active in the energy industry in relation with merger control procedures and securing necessary competition-related clearances in connection with a complex shareholders agreement.

Representing several leading players in the retail snd logistics industry in structuring long terms PPAs to secure their electricity consumption needs.
